This app posts content to one TikTok account — ours. It doesn't log anyone else in, doesn't read anyone else's data, and doesn't have a database of users to protect, because there isn't one.
Industry Real Talk Automation is operated by the individual who runs the Industry Real Talk media page (@industry_realtalk), a page covering music industry news, artist stories, and culture. This policy covers the TikTok app of the same name, registered under an individual developer account.
The app uses TikTok's Content Posting API to publish video content — produced from music industry news coverage — directly to the operator's own TikTok account, as part of a personal publishing workflow. It is a single-user, single-account integration. It is not a public-facing product, and no one other than the operator can sign in to it or use it.
The app requests only what TikTok's Content Posting API requires to publish on the operator's behalf: an OAuth access token and refresh token scoped to the operator's own TikTok account.
The access and refresh tokens are used exclusively to authenticate outgoing posts to the operator's own TikTok account. They are stored locally on the operator's own device, are never transmitted to any third party, and are never sold, rented, or shared.
Tokens are retained only for as long as the automation remains active. They are deleted when the integration is disconnected. You (as the account operator) can revoke access at any time from TikTok's account settings, which immediately invalidates the tokens.
If what this app does changes in a way that affects data use, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change accordingly.
